Our Objectives

• Getting Asian Americans registered and out to vote. That includes supporting language assistance programs which removes the biggest hurdle for limited English proficient (LEP) individuals to exercise their civic duty.

• Partnering with organizations that best exemplify our mission across the state. We serve as a resource to educate engage groups on considerations to diversity and cultural literacy.

• Protecting Asian American rights and security. During the Covid period, we saw a rise in anti-Asian violence and rhetoric. The threat of scapegoating our community is a growing fear. Asian Americans are AMERICANS and the AVA recognizes the need for a safe environment to work and grow.

• Investing in future leaders. Helping Asian-Americans enter local and state politics is the key to representation.

• Identifying the candidates that are committed and most aligned with our values. Our AVA badge of approval lets our voters know that their candidate has their best interests in mind.
